Our warming hut finds form and function from an unlikely and ironic origin - an abandoned fireplace. The abandoned fireplace however is actually the only chance of seeing a fireplace in its pure form since the dwelling it once served has burned away around it.

Ideally this warming hut would have a live fire, but in lieu of real fire (because of the constant attention required) the color and materials are warm.

We propose to use painted plywood with a yellow tint. The main facade of hut is also finished in natural wood.
