The Simple Add-on Module started as a research project to develop a repeatable and affordable living solution that could adapt to multitude of site constraints and user needs.

The module is a single level living space that 'floats' on 4 piles. This allows the dwelling to adapt to any soil type and slope because it simply floats over the top of any natural irregularities. This also eliminates the need for grading, which is an expensive item during home construction.

The construction type is all steel and concrete which happens to be ideal for Southern California's seismic activity and its associated high technical design standards.
